Responsabilities:
Planning:
• Work with the Directors to create a realistic monthly planner that falls in line with required finanical objectives
• Create detailed monthly, weekly and daily schedules for the
• Studio resource teams and individuals
• Create timelines for new ad hoc projects to assist with future planning
• Review timelines with the account executives to get client approval for scheduling

Managing:
• Monitor and adjust the workloads of the resource teams, depending on their availability and priorities
• Ensure that all briefs, project details and reverts are submitted by the accounts teams on time so as to ensure that the agreed to timelines are met
• Assign daily, weekly and monthly tasks to resource teams
• Conduct a daily morning meeting with department heads to go over items/tasks assigned and due for the day and determine if there are any roadblocks
• Give status updates, and communicate any issues with the Account Executives regarding project timelines and deliverables so this can be effectively managed with the client
• Monitor the progress of various projects ensuring that they are in line with communicated timelines and budgeted time constraints
• Ensure that all tasks flow efficiently to relevant resource teams
• Ensure that resource teams are accurately tracking or recording time
• Ensure that the macro retainer deliverables are being met monthly
• Manage and adjust schedules as required to accommodate
• competing deadlines and resources

Reporting:
• Generate monthly reports
o Projects complete vs monthly goals report
o Department task and time reports
o Individual resource time and task reports
o Completed project time report
o Retainer Time report

KPI’s
Your main objective is to ensure that all monthly retainer work and ad
hoc projects run smoothly and efficiently through the Studio.
Your end goal?
• Ensure that projects run smoothly through the Studio with as little disruption as possible as per the allocated time constraints
• Tracking all monthly retainer deliverables and flagging outstanding items to be complete
• Assist in ensuring that monthly project targets are met
• Submit relevant monthly reports
o Projects complete vs monthly goals report
o Deparment task and time reports
o Individual resource time and task reports
o Completed project time report
o Retainer Time report
• All reports to include
o Time tracked
o Problem areas
o Solutions for issues

Salary: R 20 000 – R 30 000

Packaging Structural Designer

Packaging Structural Designer

Description:

Our client, a leading Point of Sale and Packaging Manufacturer, is looking for an Packaging Structural Designer

Must Have:
• A tertiary qualification in industrial design with a certificate, diploma or degree is preferred
• and 4 years’ experience in the packaging environment
• Printing and/or packaging business background is desirable but not necessary
• CAD program experience (preferred tech Artios CAD/ Konisberg)
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems, good design abilities
• Basic knowledge of the commercial printing industry an advantage
• Knowledge of CAD design software in a folding carton and corrugated packaging environment
• Experience with operating CAD table making prototype samples
• Strong mechanical and technical skills
• Demonstrate ability to think in 3D
• Must be able to actively conduct research via internet
• Microsoft Office including MS Excel and PowerPoint, HTML and JavaScript
• Must be able to actively conduct research via internet

Responsibilities:
• Work with Sales team to create structural packaging designs
• Create CAD and supporting documents
• Preparing drawings for costings and production
• Overseeing production process and quality control
• Taking Briefs and Revisions
• Work with manufacturing team to confirm design can run on equipment in plant
• Make high quality sample prototypes for new and existing customers
• Produce small production runs of prototypes on CAD table
• Test corrugated package designs with internal testing equipment
• Responsibilities include design, layout and electronic pre-press production of printed materials, advertising, and promotional items using Auto Cad
• Must be able to determine the needs of the client, the ultimate function for which the design is intended, and its appeal to customers. In creating the design, research must be conducted using the desired design characteristics, such as size, shape, weight, color, materials used, cost, ease of use, fit, and safety
• With the use of computer-aided design (CAD) tools to create and better visualize the final product
• Keep track of all elements, making sure they are finished in time for presentations or promotions with no errors
• Preparing preliminary concepts, developing mock up units for client, brainstorming and researching by looking for references from the internet and literature in books

Salary: R 20K – R 25K CTC

Must Have:
• At least 3-5 years’ experience within Advertising/FMCG/Point of Sale/Retail industry
• Needs to understand POS
• Creative brand knowledge
• Knowledge of printing process and techniques
• Knowledge of plant capability and machine specifications
• Able to take customer through quotes in detail
• Ability to interact at senior management level
• High level relationship building a critical component

Responsibilities
Achieving Sales and Business Development Objectives
• Actively seek out new and potential business
• Proactive in converting client’s occasional business to long term contractual business for the business unit
• Ensure the maintenance of contracts for the business unit
• Ensure the maximum extraction value from clients
• Achieve and Exceed budgets
• Comply with sales plan
