Description:

Our client, a leading Petro-Chemical Company in Island View is looking for a Contracts Manager (Procurement & Tenders)

Must Have:
• Must have experience and understanding of a control environment
• Develop, implement, maintain, and document management control policies and procedures
• Must have experience with end to end procurement processes
• Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
• Talent in negotiations and networking
• Must have prior experience in managing people, developing GPA’s and IDPs
• Preparation of management reports
• Contract Management – understand the legal principles relating to contracts and tenders
• Up to 5 years’ experience in contracts management

Responsibilities:
• The Contracts Manager will be responsible for developing the Framework for Procurement and Tenders, including but not limited to, contracts management, preferential procurement and alternate supplier selection criteria
• He/ She should identify potential contract risks and communicate this with internal stakeholders
• The C&R Manager must ensure that that there are appropriate controls in place over the procurement, contracting and performance management
• The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the company and its staff adhere to the purchasing strategy

BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Monthly reporting on BBEEE procurement strategies and financial elements
• Presentation of Tender Board Pack for Board Approval (MOA)

CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Monthly reporting on contracts register
• Weekly presentation at Tender Board
• Regular meetings with suppliers on SLA management
• Drafting of minutes of meetings

OPERATIONAL PROCESSES ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Identifying new profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships
• Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Manage all contractual agreements or expiry of contracts including review
• Attending to correspondence with legal advisors, where necessary
• Manage the Procurement Framework, including tender board and contracts, including appropriate governance
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Implement and monitor contracts and SLA agreements
• Design processes to ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of supply contracts
• Member of the Tender Board
• Review of the tender board minutes ensuring appropriate risks are managed
• Facilitate annual training of Tender Board w.r.t Tender Policy
• Review technical and Commercial Evaluation of tenders received and present summary to Tender Board
• Review and approve RFI and RFQs including supporting the leadership in developing an appropriate RFI
• Review and approve vendor applications
• Evaluate vendors in terms of service, supply and cost by discussing with representatives and visits to the premises
• Schedule meetings with contractors / vendors in order to assess performance in terms of SLA
• Monitor the purchasing reports for all the contracts to understand what is being purchased and allocation of spend
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Work regularly with the CEO and CFO to discuss and implement cost savings and operational improvements
• Oversee the company’s BBEEE tracker to ensure that the Companies Preferential Procurement Policy is adhered
• Identify opportunities to increase the BBEEE scoring
• Lead and manage the performance of the Procurement Officer including goal setting and development

Salary: R750 – R800k ctc pa (including benefits)

Supply and Demand Planning Manager

Supply and Demand Planning Manager

Description:

Our client, a Multinational FMCG Company in Umhlanga, is looking for an Supply and Demand Planning Manager

Must Have:
• University or similar degree – ideally in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial engineering
• Min. 6 years’ of work experience in a corporate environment – ideally in FMCG, ideally in Supply Chain or S&OP related functions
• Operational experience in end to end Planning (Demand, Supply, Replenishment, Production)
• Profound understanding of S&OP, Supply Chain Planning and Master Data principles and standards
• Good understanding of FMCG and Retail industry is advantageous
• Experience in leading and managing teams

Responsibilities:
General
• Lead the planning team by providing strategic direction based upon Management Unit and Regional/Global SC objectives
• Contribute to the overall SC objectives through KPI/PI delivery (Service Level, Inventory Levels & Critical stock management, Forecast Accuracy, Bias, Master data Accuracy)
• Standardization of work practices across the planning categories to ensure business continuity
• Establish and maintain exchange across Planning Communities (ie. Planning Managers in other MU’s, Regional and Corporate Planning and Master Data functions and key Production Centre contacts

Demand & Supply and Replenishment Planning
• Ensure demand & supply planning process and best practices are implemented and executed according to planning guidelines
• Support the team and provide direction on existing planning topics and roll out of new planning initiatives
• Review Forecast accuracy/Bias and understand opportunities to drive improvement
• Review Safety Stock levels and impacts on inventory/service level by ensuring proper balance and impact on Inventory and Working Capital
• Critical stock management of excess, obsolete and ageing stock to better manage stock health
• Responsibly managing the scrapping of bad stock on a monthly basis

Master Data Management and Value Added Service
• Lead and own the operational relationship with local rework suppliers
• Ensure that demand is optimally achieved by reviewing overall supplier capacity and management of KPI’s (Plan vs Actual)
• Ensure product master data best practice adherence and compliance
• SAP system approvals for new product creation and maintenance

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Reporting and Tool Update
• Lead S&OP processes and best practice implementation within the MU
• Balancing operational business against overall business targets
• Ensure monthly execution of operational S&OP cycle by providing overall guidance
• Build S&OP learnings through in-meeting coaching and formal/informal training
• Managing KPI and PI reporting

People Management
• Lead and develop a team of demand/supply planners
• Set/ review objectives and conduct performance appraisals/ ITP/ succession planning
• Ensure support of the team through coaching /mentoring

Salary: R 87 000 + benefits + bonuses

Must Have:
