Our client, a well-established FMCG Manufacturer in Durban South, is looking for a Production Planner

Must Have:
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree/Honours in Supply Chain
• 12 – 18 months of similar or relevant experience in a FMCG company
• Advanced excel skills
• Project management and/or Syspro experience will be a big plus!

Responsibilities:
• Develop Factory production plan that fits in with key policies and sales forecasts
• Schedule the production process and production departments by material, employee and equipment availability
• Create and maintain production schedules and provide the required feedback
• Use workers and resources in the most effective manner
• Provide quick responses to production issues
• Identify problems and help improve processes to ensure that deadlines are met
• Use software to generate reports and schedules
• Manage stock covers within giving parameters
• Maintain master data and MRP system, Attention to detail is an absolute must!
• Manage production of International orders
• Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with the Quality and Supply Chain teams

Salary: R 20K neg

Brand Group Planner

Position:

Brand Group Planner

Description:

Our client, a leading FMCG Multinational Company is looking for an Brand Group Planner

Must Have:
• University or similar Bachelor’s degree – ideally in Supply Chain, Engineering Commerce, Statistics & Mathematics or Other Sciences
• A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting and/or supply/production planning role
• Import planning an advantage
• SAP (very strong)
• Highly analytical & numerate

Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
• Develop demand forecasts for New and Existing products based upon demand patterns and business trends/assumptions
• History correction: Correct historical sales data to improve quality of time series input into statistical forecasting
• Statistical forecasting: Analyse and assign appropriate statistical models and parameters to enrich statistical forecasts in order to generate accurate base line forecasts in SAP-APO
• Promotion Planning: Utilise promotional volumes/plans obtained from Sales/Marketing to finalise promotional volume input into SAP(i.e. EPP)
• Propose and implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy and minimise bias
• Responsible for the finalisation of the category demand plans by leading the Pre-S&OP Meetings and its resultant inputs and outputs

Inventory Planning and Replenishment
• Supply Planning: Coordinate different supply planning processes (Direct deliveries /via Hub) to ensure optimal replenishment of products from Hubs/PCs/3PMs using aligned process(CRP/MIP/NDF)
• Safety Stock Planning using ASAS in APO: Monthly creation and refinement of safety stock to ensure optimum inventory levels by product
• Support the Launch/Relaunch (L/RL) process by ensuring uninterrupted supply of new and relaunched products
• Active management of Critical stock(i.e. excess, obsolete, close to expiry) using HIT to ensure reduction of bad inventory
• Exception Management: Review APO Supply Planning alerts as required on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and execute actions with supply units
• Left over Management of Relaunches ensuring the optimum amount of inventory and lowest write off costs
• Leading VAS process with the external supplier by ensuring stock is reworked efficiently and timeously and at the agreed pricing
• Addressing any financial workflows queries promptly

Master Data Management
• Create and maintain demand and supply product master data for new, relaunched and exiting products in SAP PLM/PE2/APO
• Ensure high integrity of product master data via monthly health check and overall data management

Sales & Operations Planning
• Lead and execute monthly S&OP meetings (i.e. Pre-S&OP, KAM DEMS’) for responsible categories in order to ensure alignment of plans across the key business areas
• Coordinate monthly meetings with Key Account Managers to gather demand drivers in their accounts that result in product volume uplifts/drop-offs
• Actively contribute to category specific S&OP meetings
• Proactively identify and advise the business of potential supply risks and opportunities in forward plan
• Assess and present mitigating and cost effective options to the business to close the supply gaps

Performance Management-Reporting
• Generate and analyse monthly Demand & Supply Planning (KPI/PI) reports: Service Level, Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Inventories as well as Write Downs/Scrapping to enable performance and root cause management

Salary: R 35K – 54K + Benefits + Bonuses

Our client, a Global Manufacturer specialising in Geo-Textiles is looking for a Senior Operations Manager.

Must Have:
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
• B.Comm / MBA on top of Engineering qualifications are ideal
• Will oversee the following:
o Production
o Planning
o Procurement
o Inbound & Outbound Supply Chain
o Quality
o Maintenance
o Facilities Management

Responsibilities:
• Managing both the operations process and embracing design and planning control,
• Performance improvement and operation strategy
• Interacting with various managers and other functional areas within the Organisation whose roles have an impact on operations, this may include marketing, finance, accounting, personnel and engineering
• Human Resource Management, people employed by the Organisation either to work directly to create good service, to provide support to those who do, this would be in conjunction with the HR manager, do asset management i.e. Organisations buildings, facilities, equipment and stock are involved, support and cost management, most of the cost of producing goods are directly related to the cost of acquiring resources, transporting or delivering them to customers
